Monday Photo Shoot: Autumn Sunset
From time to time I take part in various photo challenges that appear in other Blogs. It has been some time since I have done this with the changeover to the new gallery, but since things have now slowed down a bit, I've decided to jump back in. Carly, who was recently featured in my own Photographer Spotlight, does a weekly photo challenge in her blog Ellipsis. The theme for this week is Autumn Sunsets, and just happens to be one of those themes that I can play along with.

Rush Hour
Figuring that most of the entries will be of typical sunsets with bright colors in the sky, I opted for a slightly different approach and featured the bright colors along the bottom of the frame. You can still see a hint of fall color in the mountain in the distance that is Pilot Mountain. Since this image was taken well after sunset, it appears in the Night Photography Room at Four Forty-Six Photography.

Greg, I really like this one. The trails of the tail lights and headlights certainly make this different from the run of the mill sunset shot. Great entry!

my eye is immediately drawn to the trail of lights zooming in both directions, but doesn't stop there. i really like the softness of the sky behind that majestic mountain. well done!

The light trails are probably the cleanest I've ever seen, and I love all the angles in your overall composition. Outstanding!
